Singlespeed Day
It was a day tailor made for the 32x16. 70 and sunny with a cooling breeze. Perfect.
Despite 5mg/day of prednisone and some 18mg or so of methotrexate a week (with today as my dosage day), as well as numerous work-related projects, I called it a day around 3:30p and took my daughter for a two- or three-mile bike ride. I had my choice of bikes, but I chose the trusty single-speed. There's such grace and elegance in its simplicity.
Come to think of it, my daughter was on a single-speed Trek, too. How cool is that?
We had an outstanding ride. Sure, I used to cruise 250 miles a week ten years ago this point in the season. But at least I got my ass out the door. I count that an accomplishment.
