Driving While Distracted
A new survey reveals that 40% of American mobile phone users (between the ages of 16 and 30) admit to composing and sending text messages while driving. I think the other 60% are lying (as does sports talk show host Jim Rome, too, for that matter).
This behavior must stop.
Driving requires concentration. That's why my official rule is to always be safely parked (with the transmission in P) in an off-street parking lot whenever I use my laptop to send/receive email messages (my phone is no longer Internet-enabled) in the car.
