As a kid, the opening tick-tick-tick sounds of CBS' 60 Minutes always foreshadowed doom. I will forever associate that sound with the impending end of freedom.
Today the Louisville Courier-Journal explained why. Sometimes a case of the Mondays can leak into the weekend." The paper even notes the "Sunday Dreads" may well strike "after the last afternoon NFL game segues into '60 Minutes,' and that ticking stopwatch sounds like it is counting down your last seconds of not being bossed around."
I'm thankful I love my job. While the waning hours of a Sunday always bring a little stress, they're much better now than when a powerless day at school awaited on the other side.
