On Jennifer Knapp

The world needs to accept Jennifer Knapp for what she is: an outstanding Christian music artist. Christ implored his followers not to judge, lest they be judged. That guidance proves timely in the wake of CNN headlines today. Let's hope the result of this news story is more people are exposed to her gifted music and Christian message, not an irrelevant debate on lifestyle preferences.

Northern Flicker

While eating dinner tonight a Northern Flicker visited the feeders by our back window. Even though these woodpeckers are supposed to be present year-round in Kentucky, it seems we only see them in the very early spring. They're quite colorful birds, with a mix of black scallop plummage, yellow tinted bellies and prominent black bibs.

CJ Article On Sunday Dread

As a kid, the opening tick-tick-tick sounds of CBS' 60 Minutes always foreshadowed doom. I will forever associate that sound with the impending end of freedom.

Today the Louisville Courier-Journal explained why. Sometimes a case of the Mondays can leak into the weekend." The paper even notes the "Sunday Dreads" may well strike "after the last afternoon NFL game segues into '60 Minutes,' and that ticking stopwatch sounds like it is counting down your last seconds of not being bossed around."

I'm thankful I love my job. While the waning hours of a Sunday always bring a little stress, they're much better now than when a powerless day at school awaited on the other side.

AMP Energy: I'm A Fan

I don't know why I waited so long to try energy drinks, but I'm now a believer. Sure, I've always been a fan of the caffeine molecule. Who's not?

According to independent research, many popular grande-size coffees contain two times as much caffeine as one can of AMP. And, since I'm drinking the sugar free iteration, there's no high-fructose corn syrup, either.

Can't be all bad. And if Dale Earnhardt, Jr.'s a fan...
